Full-Time Contract Special Education Teacher (Resource), Kansas City, MO

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team in a full-time contract position. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students in achieving academic and personal success.

Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Hours: 30–35 hours per week
Grade Levels: Elementary (Kindergarten–4th Grade)
Caseload: Approximately 15 students
Student Population: Students with Behavioral (BEH) and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) eligibility, with a primary focus on math and reading support

Responsibilities
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals.
Deliver specialized instruction in reading and mathematics.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and success.

Qualifications Needed
Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure.
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
