POSITION: Maintenance Mechanics, Permanent Support Staff 26/27 SY (Anticipated)

LOCATION: All CRSD Schools and Buildings

AVAILABLE: July/August, 2026

HOURS/Schedule: 8.0 hours/day; 5 days/week, with overtime as required


7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Benefit Eligible)


REQUIREMENTS:


Maintenance: Must be knowledgeable of building mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems. In addition, must be physically capable of performing described tasks, set-up, climb, and takedown ladders, access all building roof levels, etc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to set-up and take-down of furniture for school assemblies, general maintenance of school facilities, general management of the buildings boiler plant and automated building controls, roof inspections and drain clearing, lawn maintenance and snow removal, playground maintenance, preventative maintenance of building components in close coordination with service contract vendors, moving of classroom furniture within building or to loading dock for transport within district, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor, building principal, teaching staff and contracted custodial team. Good people skills and basic computer skills are also required. Overtime will be expected during winter weather conditions and emergency events as required to ready buildings and grounds for school events. On occasion, the grounds and maintenance staff members assist with tasks when addressing emergency situations, preparation for commencement of the school year, etc. An independent job skills testing could be required.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK: In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 33)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo

Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician's health form and recently completed TB test.
