Toolmaker  

Put your Tool and Die experience to work creating the jigs, fixtures, dies, and tooling used to manufacture medical instruments. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker who enjoys complex projects, tight tolerances, and solving problems that keep production moving. Direct Hire - $35 - $47 hr – Bridgeport location. 

In this role, you will:  

• Build, repair, and rework precision tooling from blueprints, written instructions, or verbal direction. 

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other tool room equipment. 

• Plan machining operations based on materials, tolerances, tooling, feeds, and speeds. 

• Inspect completed work to print, document results, troubleshoot issues, and complete preventive maintenance. 

• Help train and support new Toolmakers and Apprentices while maintaining a safe, organized work area. 

You will be a strong fit if you have:  

• 5+ years of Tool and Die making experience. 

• A high school diploma or GED; vocational training or an apprenticeship is preferred. 

• Proficiency with CAD and/or CAM, along with strong blueprint-reading and problem-solving skills. 

• The ability to manage multiple priorities, complete complex work independently, and provide realistic completion estimates. 

• Exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a team-focused approach.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
