Position Overview Student Recruiter – Student Employment Program (FWSP/STEP) Datatel Position ID ENMA8FEDWOST0A / ENMA9STEPROG1A Annual Hours: up to 25 hours per week, minimum 15 hours Position Type: Student Employee Job Category: Student General Description Oklahoma City Community College Student Recruiters provide information to prospective students and their families who visit OCCC in person or inquire by telephone. They showcase the college, give campus tours, and support the Office of Recruitment & Admissions. Recruiters also represent OCCC at high school visits and college fairs. Reports To Assistant Director of Recruitment and Strategies Qualifications Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for Fall or Spring semester or 3 credit hours for Summer semester (or a Federal Work Study award), in good academic standing. Basic computer skills. Ability to give college tours and attend/lead presentations at recruiting events. Strong professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse student and community population. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated academic excellence and professional growth. Required Training FERPA Training Sexual Harassment Training Quarterly Health & Safety Training Position‑specific training as needed Work Hours 25 hours maximum per week, 15 hours minimum per week. Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Frequent communication with students, faculty, staff, and other visitors. Frequent movement around the campus and standing for extended periods. Occasional outdoor presence during recruiting events. Regular use of computer and office equipment. Job Duties Serve as initial contact for prospective students and families visiting or calling the college. Represent OCCC at area high schools, community events, and college fairs. Assist with initial intake, screening, and determination of eligibility for new student applications; refer eligible applicants to an Admissions Advisor. Conduct campus tours for prospective students and families. Assist with processing mail outs, delivering materials, making copies, and running office errands. Support activities and special programs of the Office of Recruitment & Admissions (annual college fairs, counselor breakfasts, OKC‑Go information sessions, etc.). Maintain a positive appearance in the reception area. Demonstrate dependable, punctual, and professional conduct; wear approved attire. Perform all work ethically and confidentially. Adhere to safety and health procedures; complete quarterly health and safety training; participate in emergency drills. Job Duties – Safety and Policy & Procedures Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures. Contribute to a safe educational and working environment. Follow established health and safety practices; complete quarterly health and safety training.
