- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering required diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in collaboration with physician partners or independently, based on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and families on preventative healthcare, wellness strategies, and management of illnesses
- Prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of your practice
- Participating in patient follow-ups and comprehensive chronic care plans
- Collaborating effectively across various healthcare teams to ensure integrated, holistic patient care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is essential
- Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Outstanding clinical skills paired with a warm, empathetic bedside manner
- Effective communicator with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals
- Ability to adapt in dynamic, patient-centered scenarios
- Proficiency with EMR and comfort using telehealth technology
