Responsibilities Assess patient needs and develop individualized recovery plans. Deliver occupational therapy in facility settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and make referrals. Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity. Conduct documentation and maintain treatment records. Supervise support staff as required. Advocate for patient safety and identify hazards. Coordinate program and adapt to patient needs. Deliver therapies across various settings, ensuring continuity of care. Participate in staff meetings and patient care conferences. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE standards. Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid, unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of practice. Compensation USD $40.00 – $50.00 per hour. Bonus: USD $10,000.00. Powerback – Occupational Therapist (Journey Traveler) Throughout a 13‑week national assignment, each Occupational Therapist – Journey Traveler organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs at assigned locations to facilitate rehabilitation. The role requires travel nationwide, adapting to various settings and working with diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adhere to care plans, departmental and patient schedules; complete timely documentation. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and related meetings. Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive patient needs. Consult with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens. Adapt program and/or plan of care according to individual patient needs. Promote a safe environment and enforce safety hazard elimination. Order supplies and equipment as necessary. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports need for repair of equipment. Ensure patients and families receive the highest quality of care. Screen, examine, evaluate patients; establish diagnosis; develop treatment goals and methods; implement the plan; complete all documentation. Design, fabricate, fit, and apply adaptive devices; train patients in device use. Select appropriate activities suited to patient capacity and interests. Instruct patients in skills and techniques required for functional activity participation. Perform routine reexamination to modify or progress treatment plan. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
