Extraction Technician

Job Description
TheExtraction Technician supports the preparation and execution of theextraction process. Furthermore, the technician will assist in theformulation of approved medical cannabis products. This position isresponsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, efficacy,and efficiency of the manufacturing processes. The ExtractionTechnician will strictly follow the company's standard operatingprocedures and quality control measures to maintain production ofhigh-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying outday-to-day tasks including prepping, measuring, extracting,refining, and packaging of medical marijuana products. TheExtraction Technician must monitor and maintain the laboratoryenvironment in accordance with company needs and state regulations.

Job Functions

• Properlyhandle pre-extraction plant matter with care and attention.
• Performextractions following standard operating procedures.
• Providevital systematic cleaning and sanitization of the extractionlaboratory. •Understand and comply to procedures,methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking cannabisproduct from seed to sale.
• Accuratelycalibrate scales and balances to ensure proper measurement ofmedicated products.
• Ensureconsistency and efficacy of product through quality controltesting, standard operating procedures and properdocumentation.
• Ensurepersonal hygiene is acceptable before performing any productionactivities by washing hands, wearing a hair net and otherpersonal protective equipment, etc.
• Sanitizeall production equipment and tools including workspace,utensils, containers, cookware, and machinery.
• AssistDirector of Extraction with the creation of batch productionrecords and labels in accordance with state regulations.
• AssistDirector of Extraction with the weighing, packaging, labeling,and documentation of all products, as well as the tracking ofbatch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
• Ensurethe above information is accurate, appropriately documented andlisted clearly in accordance with the state regulations andcompany standard operating procedures.
• Additionaljob duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Musthave knowledge of or in the process of learning about cannabisprocessing and extraction.
• Musthave understanding of functions relating to an extractionlaboratory.
• Familiarwith industry terminology and scientific techniques of acommercial cannabis lab.
• Abilityto work in a fast-paced, changing, and challengingenvironment.
• Highlevel of integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Stronginterpersonal skills; team player.
• Demonstratedability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse,multicultural, multigenerational environment.
• 2to 3 years working in a team environment
• Mustbe 21+, with a valid State ID, with no violent crime orcontrolled substance felonies and able to pass additionalbackground screening
