PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Delivery drivers are responsible for delivering clean linen and picking up soiled linen from customers in a safe and timely manner. Each route and delivery day is unique, entailing an average of 6 stops per day, servicing hotels primarily in the Central Texas region and surrounding areas and on from time to time, based on company needs, you may be required to cross state lines for services needed for or from the company. We are passionate about providing superior customer service and timely delivery to the hotels we service. As the delivery driver, you are Cooperative Laundry's face to the customer and expected to provide the highest levels of care and customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate delivery truck in a safe and efficient manner, transporting clean and soiled laundry to/from customers and the San Marcos, TX facility
• Pickup and deliver carts to locations within the Hotel as specified by Fleet/Operations Manager.
• Load and unload laundry carts
• Maintain manifest and obtain customer sign off
• Manage route and delivery schedule with limited supervision
• Present a professional image and demeanor
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience driving a similar commercial vehicle in the Central Texas region area
• Clean driving record. This means that in the last 3 years, you have had only 1 driver's license, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents and in the last 7 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
• Able to read and write, follow operating procedures, and complete safety training/certifications
• Must maintain good attendance
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Work in all weather conditions
• Climb in and out of truck
• Able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist for up to 12 hours
• Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted
• Must be available for rotating shift work - some nights, weekends and holidays required

SHIFTS AVAILABLE
• First shift starts are Dependent upon Customer's Delivery time (varies)
• Second shift start time 4pm (approx., may vary.)
• Overnight start time 8pm (approx., may vary)
