The role defines architecture principles, security and compliance guardrails, and cloud cost targets to support stable, scalable operations.This position leads a team of engineers and represents managed infrastructure across regions, CoEs, and customers. Its focus is to improve reliability, increase cost transparency, and support long-term sustainability.## Key Responsibilities– Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, principles, and guardrails for Azure and AWS. – Own the reliability and performance of managed cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and incident reduction. – Drive automation through infrastructure-as-code, standardized workflows, and AI-assisted operations. – Own security and compliance guardrails and serve as the accountable owner during ISO 27001 audits and customer assessments. – Manage cloud cost targets, reporting, and optimization, and embed FinOps practices into operations. – Represent managed infrastructure in stakeholder, customer, escalation, and audit discussions. – Lead and develop a team of engineers, including role shaping, mentoring, and cultural and organizational transformation.## Required Skills– Fluent, professional English, both written and verbal. – Valid working visa for the EU/UK.## Cloud Platforms & Technologies– \*\*Cloud Providers:\*\* Azure, AWS – \*\*Infrastructure as Code:\*\* infrastructure-as-code – \*\*Monitoring:\*\* monitoring, alerting – \*\*Automation:\*\* AI-assisted operations – \*\*Compliance Standards:\*\* ISO 27001## FinOps Responsibilities– Set and manage cloud cost targets. – Own cloud cost reporting and transparency. – Drive cloud cost optimization. – Embed FinOps practices into day-to-day operations.## Why You Might Be InterestedThis role offers ownership of managed cloud strategy and operations across Azure and AWS, with responsibility for reliability, security, compliance, and cost management. It also includes leading an engineering team and working across regions, CoEs, customers, and audit stakeholders. The position is hybrid and available in four European cities.
