Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Some weekend shifts required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As an L&D RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in Acute Care High Risk Labor and Delivery settings.
• Manage laboring patients, including active management and induction/augmentation.
• Monitor and evaluate maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.
• Respond to and manage maternal emergencies and complications such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes.
• Float between units as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing; Compact license preferred.
• Experience with VBAC/TOLAC and the management of multiple pregnancies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
