Job Description & Requirements Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Germantown, Tennessee, beginning 06/22/2026. The role includes 40 hours per week with 8‑hour day shifts. The assignment is travel type. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests and clinical examinations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Computer skills (PC). Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel. Technical motor skills for grasping, fine manipulation, and assisting in procedures. Mental resilience to frequent contact with patients and handle deadlines under pressure.
