Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,808 a week in all, a taxable rate of $29.63 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This acute-care role supports patients with medical, surgical, and neurosurgical conditions in a high-acuity intensive care setting. Responsibilities include ventilator management, titratable intravenous drips, device troubleshooting, and monitoring patients during night shifts.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); registered nurse license eligible for submission; minimum of 2 years of experience; ability to manage ventilators and titratable drips, including propofol, Cardene, Cardizem, and vasopressors; ability to manage and troubleshoot external ventricular drains and other critical-care devices.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week; every other weekend requirement.
• Additional Information: The intensive care setting includes a typical mix of medical and surgical patients, with a higher volume of neurosurgical cases. Registered nurses monitor telemetry, print and interpret rhythm strips, troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and collaborate with in-house critical-care providers and respiratory therapy professionals. One to two shifts of unit-specific orientation are provided. Navy scrub attire is required. One major and one minor holiday may be required.
