Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, service agreements, and partnership arrangements
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice to internal teams on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Provide legal support for the construction, operation and development of manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement and other departments to provide comprehensive legal support for factories in the U.S.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant across all jurisdictions
• Advise on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist in managing disputes, investigations, and litigation processes by coordinating with external counsel when necessary
• Develop and deliver training sessions on legal topics to promote awareness and adherence throughout the organization
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions by conducting due diligence and drafting transaction documents
• Maintain organized records of legal documents, policies, and correspondence for easy access and reference

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s)
• 3-5 years of prior experience in corporate law at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
• Legal work experience in the automotive industry
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Excellent English legal writing and speaking skills
• Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• Willingness to work overtime frequently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel or in a similar role within a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, intellectual property rights, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and confidently
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail in all work activities
