Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care within skilled nursing facilities, focusing on long-term support and short-term rehabilitation for diverse patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs. Key Responsibilities Develop, assess, and modify individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and quality of life. Oversee and evaluate therapy provided by OT Assistants, aides, and students. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to coordinate care. Ensure patient safety, rights, and confidentiality are upheld. Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate. Assist in emergency procedures and demonstrate dependable attendance. Qualifications & Skills Certified by NBCOT and licensed/licensed eligible in the applicable state. Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT). Proficient in Microsoft Office and email communication. Strong decision-making, body mechanics, and professionalism. Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, families, and team members.
