Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Transitional Shelter in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transitional Shelters. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns while reflecting Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate observations, policy concerns, and operational issues to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
