School Aide

School Aide (K-12) - Summer 2026 & 2026-27 School Year

Pay: $18-$21 per hour Location: Los Angeles County (El Monte, Covina, Pasadena, surrounding areas)

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking caring and dependable School Aides to support students across local K-12 districts. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in education and want to make a meaningful impact. Summer placements and next school year assignments are available.

Position Overview

School Aides play a key role in supporting students with academic, behavioral, and daily-living needs. You'll help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment and ensure students receive consistent support throughout the school day.

Pay & Schedule

• $18-$21 per hour (based on experience)

• Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

• School-based schedule - no evenings or weekends

• Weekly pay

• Summer 2026 and 2026-27 school year openings available

Responsibilities

• Student assistance - Support students with academic and behavioral needs

• Daily-living support - Assist with mobility, personal care, and routine tasks (training provided)

• Classroom support - Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment

• Positive reinforcement - Provide encouragement and guidance throughout the day

• Team collaboration - Work closely with teachers and school staff

• Professional conduct - Demonstrate reliability, patience, and calm responses to challenges

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Experience working with children or in school settings preferred

• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented

• Able to meet district onboarding and clearance requirements
