Senior Mechanical Engineer, Motorized Blower Development

ResMed seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop motorized blower systems for respiratory healthcare products. The role involves creating mechanical specifications, prototypes, and engineering documentation while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across functional teams in a hybrid Calabasas position.
Responsibilities
- Design motorized blower systems, components and assemblies for new and existing products
- Develop mechanical specifications, tolerance analyses, layouts and engineering drawings
- Build prototypes and plan, execute engineering tests with data analysis and reporting
- Lead project teams, mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction
- Collaborate with systems engineering and cross-functional teams on risk assessment and manufacturing integration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline
- Expertise in plastic part design and injection molding techniques
- Proficiency with Creo or Pro/E CAD software and PDM systems
- Demonstrated experience with risk management methodologies and FMEA
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving approaches
Compensation: $147,000-$184,000 USD annually
