Part-Time Music Teacher
Allegan Fire Department
We are seeking a music teacher for Glenn Public School, Michigan's longest continuously run rural school. The music teacher will be responsible for designing and teaching a program that incorporates nature-based learning. The position is part-time for 4 hours a week during the school year.
Job Duties:
- Create relevant lesson plans
- Help students develop an understanding and appreciation of music
- Plan instructional activities that include extension and enrichment of the curriculum, including field trips, use of community resources, hands-on activities, and visiting speakers
- Utilize Nature Rich-based learning to create lesson plans
- Demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter being taught
- Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons
- Communicate with parents and staff by utilizing email and the school newsletter
- Other duties as required and approved by the administrator
- Have experience in music education or lessons
- Teaching certificate
- Be able to pass Criminal History Record Check
