Patient Access Representative

Santa Rosa, CA (Fully Onsite)

Are you passionate about helping patients and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team in Santa Rosa. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, multitasking, and being a key part of the patient experience from check-in through registration.

Schedule Options

Emergency Department (2 Openings)

• 5 days per week with rotating weekends
• Off days are typically scheduled back-to-back for consistency
• Shift start times may vary and include:
  • 2:00 PM
  • 2:30 PM
  • 3:00 PM
  • 3:30 PM

Emergency Department & Admitting (1 Opening)

• Shift start times between 6:30 AM and 11:00 AM
• Alternating weekends (on one weekend, off the next)

Schedules are provided 2 weeks in advance

What You'll Do

• Greet and check in patients and visitors
• Register patients and accurately enter demographic information into the system
• Verify patient and visitor identity using photo identification and required documentation
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary information
• Explain consent forms and admissions paperwork to patients
• Identify patients' payment options and assist with directing them to available financial assistance resources when needed
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
• Ensure patient information is accurate and up to date
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care and workflow

✅ At least 1 year of healthcare administrative experience required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Rosa, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
