Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Critical Care Float Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic team providing high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. Candidates should be proficient in managing acutely ill patients and possess strong critical thinking and clinical skills. Unit Information Unit Type: Critical Care Service Line Patient Ratios: 1:1 - 1:2 in ICU, based on acuity and staffing. 1:3 - 1:4 in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with potential for 20 patients through double occupancy. Bed Capacity: CVICU: 12 beds COVID ICU: 8 beds Medical Surgical ICU: 8 beds PCU: 16 beds (expandable to 20) Responsibilities Provide nursing care for critically ill patients demonstrating proficiency in managing a variety of conditions. Administer and titrate critical care medications and IV drips as required. Interpret ECG readings and respond to changes in patient conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic health record. Required Qualifications Current and valid nursing license. Certificates: BLS and ACLS. Prior experience in Critical Care nursing, with skills in EVDs, chest tubes, art lines, and SWAN lines. Strong EKG interpretation skills and ability to troubleshoot ventilators. Preferred experience in IABP and Prismaflex CRRT. Scheduling & Attendance Shifts will be primarily 12 hours with a combination of self-scheduling and manager oversight. Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per pay period. Holiday requirement: 1 winter holiday and the evening of another. No regularly scheduled call, but the potential for low census on occasion. Additional Notes No nurse aids are available; RNs will be responsible for their patient load without assistance. Immediate support from Intensivists available on-site 24/7. Registered Nurses required to monitor telemetry and manage patient strips. 8 hours of general hospital orientation and on-unit training provided.
