Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Tax Preparer and play a vital role in delivering exceptional tax services to our diverse client base. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting and tax expertise during the busy tax season. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will assist clients with tax return preparation, ensure compliance with tax laws, and utilize cutting-edge tax software to deliver accurate results. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help clients maximize their refunds and meet their financial goals while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using advanced tax preparation software
- Review financial documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and other tax-related forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and provide clear, professional communication on tax strategies and compliance
- Stay current on federal and state tax laws, regulations, and updates affecting various types of filings
- Manage multiple client files efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards under tight deadlines
- Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and excellent customer service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless processing of all tax documents and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting, public accounting, or finance with a focus on tax preparation and compliance
- Strong knowledge of tax law, partnership tax expertise, and corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency with tax preparation software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with accounting software, financial concepts, and analysis skills for accurate reporting
- Excellent math skills along with 10 key typing accuracy for efficient data entry
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping, financial sales, marketing strategies, and client communication techniques
