Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead
Lēʻahi Landscaping
Job Description
Job Description
At Lēʻahi Landscaping, the crew lead is the person who makes a property look right. We care for some of Oʻahu’s most beautiful luxury homes and commercial properties, and we are looking for an experienced lead who sets a high standard, teaches it to the crew, and represents the company well with clients. The position is full-time and year-round, paying $24 to $35 an hour based on skills, with weekly pay, Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
You will run a daily maintenance route with a crew of two to three, starting from our Kāhala baseyard. On every job, you own two things: training the crew and the quality of the finished work. That means teaching crew members technique, plant care basics, and safe equipment use, and checking completed work against our company standards before the crew leaves each property. Along the way, you will spot irrigation leaks, pests, and plant problems early and report them, and speak with clients on site professionally when needed. You will also keep time and job notes accurate in Jobber and keep the truck, tools, and battery-powered equipment ready every day.
You are paid from clock-in to clock-out at the baseyard, including drive time between properties, with weekly pay and overtime at 1.5 times your rate over 40 hours a week. Medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental coverage starts the first of the month after your first four weeks. We use professional battery-powered tools, which means less engine noise and exhaust on the job. You will have performance and wage reviews at one month and three months, and room to grow as the maintenance division expands.
We are looking for at least four years of landscape maintenance experience, including two or more years leading a crew, along with a working knowledge of common Hawaiʻi plants and pests and basic to intermediate irrigation troubleshooting. You should be comfortable using a phone app for schedules and time (Jobber experience is a plus) and have a valid driver’s license, since you will drive the company truck. The work is outdoors all day and includes lifting up to 50 lbs; we will consider reasonable accommodations.
