Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs throughout surgical services.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon as an RN First Assistant, supporting intraoperative care and procedures.
- Coordinate, manage, and delegate patient care within the perioperative team to meet established standards of nursing practice.
- Uphold professional standards, including Tenet Standards of Conduct, and promote cooperation and safety among the health care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status and needs to the surgical team and perioperative leadership.
- Operate within facility policies and guidelines, reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active RN license and eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in California (RN role described as RNFA duties).
- Perioperative nursing experience or formal RN First Assist training/experience.
- Ability to function effectively in a perioperative environment and support surgical procedures.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; capable of working under the direction of the operating surgeon and coordinating with the care team.
- Availability to work a 4x10-hour day shift schedule on a travel assignment (days).
- Ability to adhere to facility policies and demonstrate professional accountability in line with standards of conduct.
