Join a hospital-based nursing team providing compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients. Candidates must have recent acute care RN experience, although it does not have to be specifically in Med-Surg. This full-time opportunity offers day or night shifts, a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, and sign-on bonus opportunities.

Job Type

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, rotating weekends
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, rotating weekends
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Night shift differential: +$4.00 per hour
• No weekend shift differential

Sign-On Bonus

• Day shift: $10,000
• Night shift: $15,000

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon admission and during each scheduled shift.
• Identify and report changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Perform ordered nursing procedures and monitor patients according to treatment plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in medical records.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate individual care needs.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
• Advocate for patients and provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Recent acute care RN experience within the past 3 years.
• Candidates with several years of RN experience may qualify with acute care experience within the past 5 years.
• Acute care experience does not have to be specifically in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Current Florida RN license or an approved multistate compact RN license.
• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days after relocation.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.
