Dump Trailer Driver (Class A)

Job Description

Material Transport: Haul heavy bulk materials to and from quarries.
Equipment Operation: Safely maneuver articulated or tractor-trailer dump rigs and operate the hydraulic controls to release and dump the load evenly.
Safety Inspections: Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (e.g., checking tires, brakes, hydraulics, and lights) in compliance with FMCSA rules.
Load Management: Ensure materials are properly loaded, tarped, and do not exceed legal weight limits.
Logistics & Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers, site managers, and scale operators to maintain delivery schedules.

Typical Requirements

Driver’s License: A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
Medical Certification: A valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is required.
Physical Capability: Ability to frequently climb into the truck cab or bed, and ability to lift/pull up to 50 lbs.
Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years of commercial driving experience, especially in construction or heavy haul environments.
