Radiology Technologist II

City/State: Charlottesville, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. This includes positioning the patient to demonstrate correct anatomy/pathology, operating radiation-producing equipment, operating electronic radiology systems, preparing the patient room, equipment and medications, and maintaining adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Certification/Licensure: ARRT certification. Will consider registry eligible graduates with additional experience in fluoroscopy; must be registered within 180 days of hire.
