Warehouse Worker

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a critical role in the packaging and preparation of materials for shipment. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, stocking material in the warehouse, receiving items, and ensuring the delivery of items to the production area. This role operates on the 1st shift, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Process and transact warehouse functions such as line feeding, picking, and receiving.
• Understand the receiving process and store both customer and in-house materials appropriately.
• Complete receiving reports accurately and efficiently.
• Read and interpret 'pick' lists to select and transact the correct material for shipping and production requirements.
• Operate forklifts and assist with training others as needed.
• Follow safety protocols within a manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrate functional knowledge of the SAP system.
• Support and adhere to all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies and statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Understand and support the Integrated Management System policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined in the goal tree.

Essential Skills

• Technical capacity with the ability to become forklift certified.
• Proficient in electric pallet-jack operation.
• Conversant in English with strong communication proficiency.
• Competent in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of property descriptions.
• Basic knowledge of quantitative methods, statistical procedures, and graphic skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Dependable and reliable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, packaging, and material handling.
• Experience with forklift operation and SAP system is preferred but not required.
• Capability to use an RF scanner.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, climate-controlled, and organized environment. The position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands to handle objects and tools. You must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds. The workplace can expose you to shop floor conditions, including noise, heat, cold, dust, and dirt. Proper personal protective equipment is required, such as safety glasses, face shields, gloves, earplugs, or earmuffs, and steel-toed safety-compliant footwear.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salisbury, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
