Position Details The hiring range for this role is typically between $136,000 and $157,000, with the full range extending to $178,000, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression This position will be In-Office Primary Function The Software Test Engineer III is responsible for leading the design and implementation of test systems and strategies across prototype programs. This role drives test architecture, ensures scalability and reliability of test solutions, and serves as a technical expert across software, hardware, and validation workflows. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities Design and implement scalable test software architectures and frameworks Define and lead program-level test strategies, plans, and validation approaches Develop advanced automated test systems for complex prototype and manufacturing environments Lead system bring-up efforts, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex issues Architect and maintain test data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and usability Anticipate system-level risks and implement mitigation strategies Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product design for testability and reliability Establish and enforce best practices for test software development and documentation Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance Interface directly with customers or external stakeholders as needed Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience preferred Advanced proficiency in Python or similar programming languages Experience designing and implementing test frameworks and automation systems Strong understanding of software-hardware integration and system-level debugging Experience leading technical efforts or owning complex subsystems Ability to define requirements and drive execution across cross-functional teams Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced engineers Familiarity with networking, embedded systems, and hardware debugging tools is beneficial Strong written and verbal English language communication skills Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values Pass a post-offer background verification Work Environment Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
