Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Maine
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Job Description: Seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting, and will be responsible for providing care in both adult and pediatric areas, including NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and the emergency department.
Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed.
- Monitor, assess, and document patients' respiratory status and responses to therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Operate and maintain various respiratory care equipment.
- Participate in patient education and advocacy efforts.
- Provide coverage across the facility with a team of RRTs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU.
- Experience in Critical Care and Emergency Departments is essential.
