Job Title: Phlebotomist II Location: Columbus, OH - Float Position Assignment: 3+ months (potential to convert to a Labcorp FTE) Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, Rotating Saturdays Interview: Phone Screen / In-Person with Hiring Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II for a full-time float position supporting multiple PSC and IOP locations in the Columbus, Ohio area. The selected candidate will perform blood draws and provide patient care across various locations, including prison facilities in Orient, OH and London, OH. The Phlebotomist will work both independently and as part of a team and must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, geriatric, and hard-stick patients. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures accurately and efficiently. Collect specimens while following established laboratory and safety procedures. Provide professional and compassionate patient service during the collection process. Work with pediatric and geriatric patients, as well as patients with difficult or hard-to-access veins. Work independently at certain locations while also collaborating effectively with a team. Float between assigned PSC and IOP locations as needed. Travel to prison locations in Orient, OH and London, OH to perform patient blood draws. Follow all applicable laboratory, safety, privacy, and specimen-handling procedures. Maintain accurate patient and specimen information. Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and site personnel. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Phlebotomy experience appropriate for a Phlebotomist II level. Demonstrated ability to perform blood draws, including difficult/hard-stick patients. Experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation, as this is a float position requiring travel between locations. Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays. Ability to pass required background checks. Additional Requirements Color vision is required. No THC screening requirement. Flu and COVID vaccinations are not required. Once an offer is made, the candidate will be required to complete Labcorp's background check as well as an additional background check through the prison system due to the assigned correctional-facility locations. Work Environment This is an onsite float position. The candidate may work at PSC and IOP locations and will also be required to travel to correctional/prison facilities in Orient and London, Ohio.
