Automotive General Service Technician

Start your exciting new career with a strong and stable company. Job Summary Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures. Performs basic automotive maintenance functions. Great growth and career opportunities. Responsibilities * Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed * Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services * Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required * Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement * Performs short road test to ensure proper installation * Performs basic automotive maintenance functions such as oil and fluid changes. * Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations Desired Qualifications * High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience * Preferred Experience: * Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications * Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience * Certifications: Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200.
