Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance)

Job Title: Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance)
Location: Remote

This position requires proven, hands-on experience in the P&C insurance domain, specifically working with Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance data. Candidates without direct experience in a P&C insurance environment will not be considered.

We're looking for someone who has built reporting layers and analytics datasets within a P&C insurance company and understands the policy lifecycle, claims processing, billing cycles, and finance reporting from both the business and data perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build analytics datasets and reporting layers for P&C insurance lines of business
Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI for Policy, Claims, Billing, and Finance teams
Perform data mapping, validation, and testing across source systems
Translate business requirements into data models and actionable insights
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams

Required Skills:

6 10+ years of analytics or data engineering experience
Direct P&C insurance domain experience (Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance) mandatory
Strong SQL and data modeling skills (star schema/dimensional modeling preferred)
Hands-on Tableau and/or Power BI experience
Experience with data validation, testing, and reconciliation
Ability to work independently and work directly with business stakeholders

Nice to Have:

Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms
Experience with Qlik, SSIS, or other ETL tools
Familiarity with regulatory reporting in insurance
