CDL Instructor

Roadmaster Drivers School — CDL Class A Driver/Instructor Roadmaster Drivers School, a subsidiary of Werner Enterprises, Inc., is seeking experienced CDL Class‑A drivers to train the next generation of professional commercial truck drivers. Immediate full‑time positions are available with competitive wages (average $57,000+ per year) and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities Conduct demonstrations of assigned driving operations for students. Ensure all students operate equipment safely and within company policy. Supervise all assigned students and complete documentation of student attendance and training records. Provide in‑person instruction daily in full pre‑trip inspection, basic control skills, and road driving. Qualifications Valid CDL Class‑A license. No more than two moving violations in the last 12 months (1 year) and no more than three in the last 24 months (2 years). Minimum of 3 years verifiable over‑the‑road (OTR) or local commercial driving experience. Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and pass a DOT drug screen and hair follicle drug screen. Must be able and willing to obtain an instructor license from a state approving agency as applicable. Ability to effectively communicate and provide training to others. Intellectual and leadership abilities needed to provide instruction on full pre‑trip inspection, basic control skills, and over‑the‑road training. Bilingual ability is a plus.
