Position Title: Onboarding & Employee Experience Specialist

Location: Remote (Eastern timezone preferred)

Assignment Type: Contract-to-hire

Hourly Pay Rate: $20-23.00

Work Schedule: Full-time, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

On-Site or Hybrid: Fully remote (company laptop and headset provided)

An Addison Group client is looking for an Onboarding & Employee Experience Specialist!

This is a high-touch, people-first role responsible for delivering a welcoming and consistent onboarding experience for new hires, from offer acceptance through their first 30 days. You will be the primary point of contact for new employees in a high-volume environment (about 50 new hires per month), keeping people engaged, informed, and supported so no one is lost between offer and start date.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the first 30 days
• Engage new hires within 24 hours of offer acceptance and initiate onboarding via ADP Workforce Now
• Coordinate virtual orientation registration and start dates
• Monitor onboarding progress and follow up promptly on incomplete or delayed items
• Serve as the primary contact for new hires, resolving questions and barriers quickly
• Partner with recruiters, HR business partners, and hiring managers for a smooth handoff
• Build positive relationships through timely, personalized communication (phone, not just email)
• Conduct structured 30-day new-hire check-ins on experience, expectations, training, and engagement
• Complete monthly reporting on completion rates, outcomes, and areas of concern

Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• 2 to 3 years in HR, onboarding, recruitment, employee experience, behavioral health, or another high-touch, customer-facing environment
• Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred, other HRIS acceptable)
• Proven ability to manage high-volume onboarding in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional empathy, emotional intelligence, and communication skills
• Strong initiative, accountability, organization, and follow-through
• Experience with employee engagement, retention, or feedback initiatives preferred
