What you'll be doing day to day As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will:- Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.- Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.- Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.- Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.- Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.- Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.- Flow product to final selling location.- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.- Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.- Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.
