Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) or Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required in specialty License: RN license required Certifications: ONS/ONCC certification required, BLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: Previous charge experience; patient ratio experience; charting experience with Epic Description: This position requires day/evening shifts that may vary between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves working in an RN Clinic focused on Chemotherapy Services. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy. Skills required include PIV placement, port access, IV hydration, blood products administration, and injections. The following certifications are mandatory: APHON, BLS, and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC). Key responsibilities include monitoring chemotherapy, managing ports, and providing patient/family education and support. Experience in accessing/managing ports and administering various treatments is necessary. The role involves care coordination and ensuring compliance with safety protocols during administration. Candidates should be knowledgeable about handling cytotoxic spills and be prepared for emergency situations. Interdisciplinary support services will be available to assist with patient care. The role includes managing care for patients with different types of cancers and their related complications. This position may require floating to other areas as needed based on patient care demands. Candidates should be prepared to complete required testing as part of the onboarding process.
