Cloud Java Engineer | Relocation & Polyglot Dev

Design, develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Java. Review proposed solutions to ensure alignment with CTO Platforms' objectives and standards. Champion high standards in software engineering, including code quality, security, and maintainability. Deliver appropriate, comprehensive automated testing as part of every change (unit, integration, and regression where applicable). Approach technical challenges with an open, collaborative mindset. Take the initiative to improve the developer experience and efficiency. Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to less experienced colleagues. MUST HAVE Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear business-level English and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Strong software engineering fundamentals with a polyglot mindset ; proven ability to deliver in more than one language and ecosystem. Experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot is desirable , but not essential. Candidates strong in other languages and motivated to learn Java are welcome. Strong grasp of functional, non-blocking, asynchronous programming. Comfort working with modern concurrency models and reactive approaches. Hands-on cloud experience . Practical capability designing, building, and operating workloads in the cloud. Strong testing approach and selection skills. Sound judgement applying the right testing techniques for the context (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end). Performance testing knowledge (nice to have). Familiarity with performance test design, execution, and interpretation of results. API security at scale experience (beneficial). Knowledge of securing high-volume APIs, including authentication, authorization, and threat mitigation. close attention to detail. Consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and maintainability.
