Position Summary


DBPR is seeking a senior Network Architect to design, implement, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot its enterprise network infrastructure. The consultant must work onsite and may occasionally need to support after-hours, weekend, or holiday activities.

Mandatory Experience


Candidates must have more than five years of experience in enterprise IT support and each of the following areas:

• LAN, WLAN, and WAN design, implementation, and support
• Cisco and Juniper network switches
• Kemp and F5 load balancers
• Storage Area Network design and maintenance
• Palo Alto next-generation firewalls
• ACLs, firewall policies, and proxy policies
• Cisco IronPort or comparable mail-gateway management
• PRI and SIP trunks
• Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
• Cisco Unified Communications:
  • Cisco UCM
  • UCCX
  • Unity Connection
• Disaster recovery, high availability, and network resiliency
• Network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, performance optimization, incident response, and security

• Previous State of Florida technical staff-augmentation experience
• Unified Communications environment support
• Application design or scripting familiarity
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer

10. What cloud platforms and hybrid-connectivity solutions have you supported?
11. Have you previously worked for a Florida state agency?
12. Can you support occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday work?
13. What is your expected hourly rate?
14. Can you pass the required criminal and Level 2 background screening?
