Join the TRIO Team and Make a Difference! This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about student success and education! As part of our team, you'll play a key role in providing assessment and academic support, managing student groups, and balancing the needs of students with institutional priorities. You'll help guide students through important milestones like postsecondary entrance, financial aid applications, and career exploration, all while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. They also must be able to work with staff, students, participants’ parents/guardians and community members while supporting general program activities and able to work with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. They must also have strong interpersonal skills, be able to use a variety of technology and computer programs used around campus, be able to work independently with minimum supervision with high school students of varying abilities, and be able to positively represent the institution and the program. A master’s degree may be helpful for applicants but is not required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid Alaska Drivers License is also required. Position Details: This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus and a high school in Anchorage, Alaska. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. We review applications on a rolling basis. Because we may close the posting once a sufficient pool of qualified candidates is established, we encourage early submission.
