Position Overview - CDL Class B Driver (Kaukauna, WI)

We are thrilled to present an opening for a CDL Class B Driver within our Commercial team.

This position involves operating our bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and installing blasting products at local construction sites, mines, and quarries, while also ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment.

This hybrid role comprises approximately 40% driving and 60% physical tasks related to the installation of blasting products. Key responsibilities include loading products, driving a Class B CDL truck, managing hoses, operating manufacturing unit control systems, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for operating equipment to deliver blasting products while ensuring high-quality service of bulk explosives to our clients. Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to conducting all operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Local driving (1-5 hours)
• Early morning starts at 3:00 AM
• Approximately 10-12 hours per day
• Overtime may be required
• Up to 10% overnight travel may be necessary

Key Responsibilities

• This hybrid role involves about 40% driving and 60% physical labor.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and replenishing fluid levels.
• Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks as part of daily duties.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards when handling, storing, and using raw materials and hazardous goods.
• Implement waste reduction and control practices to minimize environmental impact.
• Promptly report any unusual incidents or accidents.
• Engage in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings to foster a safe and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in driving and/or material handling is preferred.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations is required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
• Attention to detail and basic math skills for managing daily inventory tasks.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities to maintain efficiency.

Physical Demands

• Work is conducted outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 50 pounds or more of products or materials.
• Requires the ability to load products, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks.
• Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day.
• Regular pushing and pulling while operating equipment.
• Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday.

Your Credentials

• Valid Class B CDL is required (Class A is a plus).
• Tanker endorsement is preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain necessary endorsements—support will be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Range: $27.50 - $31.00
• Signing Bonus: $4,500

(Salary will be determined based on the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.)
