A leading advanced manufacturing company in Durham, NC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a production team operating on a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule. What You'll Do

As a Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of shift operations, including:

Leading and developing a team of production associates
Creating a culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability
Providing coaching, training, and constructive feedback to employees
Managing daily production activities to ensure operational goals are achieved
Monitoring workflow, staffing, equipment utilization, and material availability
Leading shift meetings and communicating priorities clearly
Recognizing employee achievements and motivating high performance
Ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
Investigating incidents and addressing issues promptly and professionally
Managing attendance, timekeeping, scheduling, and overtime requirements
Identifying training needs and supporting employee development
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and operational problem-solving

What We're Looking For

Previous manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
Strong communication and people-development skills
A proven ability to motivate and engage teams
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing production priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence making decisions and holding employees accountable
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
A focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing operations experience
Experience leading teams in a production environment
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Forklift experience
Valid driver's license
Work Environment

This is an active manufacturing leadership role requiring visibility and engagement on the production floor. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial environment that may include:

Mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes
Dust and raw material handling
Changing temperatures depending on the production area
Extended periods of walking, standing, and movement throughout the facility
