RN - ICU

Registered Nurse (RN)We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. The ideal candidate will possess strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and be adaptable to float between Step-Down ICU and ICU settings.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.Document patient care activities according to standards of care.Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the Physician and in alignment with hospital policy, including patient and family education.Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.Employ critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, and appropriately escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.QualificationsCurrent Illinois Registered Nurse license.CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is necessary.Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is highly desirable.If you meet the above qualifications and are ready to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team, we encourage you to apply for this position.Client Details City Rockford State IL
