Empower young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This rewarding opportunity is based in the Austin, TX 78738 area and spans from early August to late October, covering a valued team member’s leave. Work closely with approximately 50 elementary students, including those in life skills and G3, providing dynamic services that inspire communication growth and academic success.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license, SLP-CCC required
• Previous experience supporting elementary-aged children in a school setting is highly preferred
• Deep knowledge of writing PLAAFPs and establishing measurable speech therapy goals
• Familiarity with the MTSS process; confident attending and contributing to meetings
• Proficient with conducting observations and performing speech-only evaluations
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech therapy services to a diverse elementary school caseload, including individual and push-in lessons for life skills programs
• Develop, update, and document students’ PLAAFPs and speech therapy goals in compliance with district and state requirements
• Complete pending speech-only evaluations, ensuring all are finalized by the October deadline
• Participate actively in MTSS meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
• Observe assigned students, document progress, and provide professional recommendations
• Work collaboratively with general and special education staff to promote optimal student outcomes
