RN - CCU

Registered Nurse - Adult ICU

This position requires 12-hour shifts, with the option for day or night shifts. The nurse will work a total of 72 hours every two weeks.

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 9-bed Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, unless a 1:1 assignment is required. There is potential for floating to medical/surgical units, where the nurse may care for 3 to 4 patients, depending on overflow needs. Although primarily focused on adult patients, the nurse may occasionally care for stable pediatric patients, while unstable cases will be transferred to a higher level of care. Minimum staffing on each shift includes three nurses, ensuring adequate support for patient care.

Manage and monitor patient care in the ICU setting.

Provide support and care for stable pediatric patients as needed.

Work collaboratively as part of the nursing team, possibly taking on charge nurse duties for an additional rate.

Float to other departments to assist when required.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Previous pediatric experience is preferred.
