Surgical Tech PRN Days
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedures. Ensures all instruments are cleaned and sterilized and functioning properly. Assists anesthesiologist when blocks are required for surgery. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
The Surgical Tech PRN Days candidate will possess the following education, license/certifications, and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum Education: College, military or vocational training required. Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is preferred. Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Certified Surgical Technology recognized by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). BLS required.
