Your pivotal role in accurately assessing and pricing risk will contribute significantly to creating profitable insurance products for our partners and clients alike.Your primary role responsibilities will include:Directing the assessment, underwriting, and pricing of complex property and casualty commercial insurance risksGuiding the review of insurance applications to gauge the degree of risk involved accuratelySteering the development of innovative underwriting strategies to achieve business growth and profitabilityCollaborating closely with sales, customer service, and senior management teams to manage, retain, and grow our client baseYou're exactly what we're looking for if you:Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related fieldHave a minimum of 3 years of property, casualty, or life underwriting experience, with a track record of managing large accounts (experience with multiple lines is a plus)Have demonstrated ability to forge strong broker and carrier relationshipsDevelop and utilize advanced analytical, decision-making, and leadership skillsHave an in-depth knowledge of insurance policies, admitted and non-admitted regulations, and market trendsPossess outstanding communication and negotiation abilitiesAre highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple prioritiesExperience in Dealer's Open Lot is a strong plusCompensation includes:Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.Unlimited Paid Time OffAbout UnderstoryUnderstory is a leading provider of insurance solutions built for the era of climate change.
