Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2285.84 Opportunity: RN - Multi Care Unit Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or night shift hours of 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Night shift position with every other weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday nights) • Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly • First to float when census is low, with standby rotation during low census periods • Float to EC MST and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and to West Campus in Prescott for ICU and PCU with two hours notice before floating • Acute care setting within a Multi Care Unit that covers all three acuities on one unit (no floating between units) • 10-bed unit with ratios dependent on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6, or 1:3 primary care if no nurse aide • Common diagnoses include sepsis, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities, and post-op complications • Required to titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin • Work with RT equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP • Required to take 12-lead EKGs and monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitor • Remote monitor techs available for PCU and MST patients • Charting system: Cerner • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; will consider 1 year ICU and 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities with strong skills • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • BSN not required • Must wear any scrub color except camouflage • Must pass dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to signing contract • Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract, or 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks Facility: This acute care facility operates a unique Multi Care Adaptable Unit that manages all three levels of acuity including ICU, PCU, and Medical-Surgical care within a single 10-bed unit. The facility offers comprehensive specialty support services and utilizes advanced monitoring technology including remote monitor technicians and bedside cardiac monitoring. The organization maintains a structured charge nurse system that oversees 50 inpatient beds across multiple unit types, ensuring high-quality patient care across all acuity levels.
