Associate Attorney - Property Tax Appeal

We are a well-established boutique law firm that focuses on residential, commercial, and industrial clients in administrative property tax appeals. We are seeking a full-time associate for an in-office position located in Inverness, IL. Some experience in property taxes, real estate or administrative law preferred but not required. This position requires daily contact with clients so excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to change gears when necessary are required. Duties/Responsibilities Analyze properties and draft briefs and supporting evidence for residential, income-producing, and owner-occupied properties, including new construction and building rehabs Assist with the administration of property tax appeals, including the production of evidence and timely preparation of complaints and supporting evidence at administrative levels Communicate with clients via verbal and written correspondence, providing recommendations, requesting necessary data, and addressing questions Assist with appeal filing, as needed Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Illinois Exercise sound judgment when handling highly confidential matters Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Access databases preferred Highly motivated and proactive, with strong initiative Some experience in property taxes, real estate or administrative law preferred but not required Bilingual a plus Candidates taking the July Bar Exam may apply 401k with matching and profit-sharing Paid holidays and vacation Practice blends well with personal life Please note: We do not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance. #J-18808-Ljbffr Park & Longstreet, P.C.
