Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title: LTAC Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Healthcare Setting: Long-term acute care (LTAC) Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: November 2, 2026 Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Hours: 36 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030 Openings: 2 Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin At least 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members LTAC Registered Nurse Responsibilities Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care. Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and communicate pertinent information promptly to the care team. Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and contribute to ongoing patient evaluations and care planning. Support rehabilitation goals through patient- and family-centered education, encouragement, and clinical interventions. Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide teaching to promote safe transitions of care. Accurately and promptly document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes in the medical record. Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and orienting staff. Promote patient and staff safety by following infection prevention, safe handling, fall prevention, and workplace safety practices. Prioritize care, manage time effectively, maintain a positive team environment, and pursue ongoing professional development.
