About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, clearly communicating each step with kindness and clarity
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and maintain thorough patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Necessary Certifications

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and effective patient positioning
